Saving
ARTS design sheets can
be saved to disk for future reference or analysis. Saved
files contain the complete data for the set of objects on
the design sheet, including the system connectivity.
Printing
ARTS includes print
previewing and printing of reports, which can include the
design sheet graphic, a texual summary of objects on the
design sheet or both.
Export to other applications
ARTS design sheet
graphics can be copied to the widows clipboard. Once this
is done the graphic can be pasted into any application
which supports the metafile format, including most word
processing and spreadsheet packages. Metafiles are
scaleable, and therefore can be resized without loss of
quality in the destination package. ARTS can also export
design sheets as text files which are compatible with
Epanet.
Textual output
A listing of all
objects on the design sheet together with their data can
be copied to the Windows clipboard as Rich Text Format
(RTF) data. This type of data allows the formatting of
the text to be copied also (such as Bold, Italic etc).
Once on the Windows clipboard, this data can be pasted
into applications as plain text or RTF format text. This
text can also be saved to a file, which can then be
opened by word processing packages or other packages
which are capable of opening RTF format files.
Graphs
Graphical
output
Graphs can be copied to the Windows clipboard as graphic
Windows metafiles, which facilitates the pasting of
scaleable graphs directly into destination packages.
Textual output
The data used to create a graph can be copied to the
Window clipboard in tab-delimited format. This format
enables pasting of the data directly into rows and
columns of spreadsheet packages. The textual format is
useful for pasting into applications that have graphing
capabilities in order to customise the appearance of a
graph.
